The Children's Museum of the Three Rivers Needs a New Home
Due to the expansion of neighboring tenants, the Children's Museum of the Three Rivers has been suddenly asked to vacate their current site at the Broadmoor Mall by June 30th.
The Children's Museum is a small non-profit organization that has been a part of the Tri-Cities for over 20 years with an average of 20,000 visitors annually. The Museum provides an environment that contributes to the enhancement of Early Childhood development (ages1-8 years) through imagination play, creative discovery and social interactions.
We are calling on our community to help us quickly find a new location that we may continue to serve the Tri-Cities and surrounding communities. We are also in need of volunteers to help us move out beginning on the afternoon of Sunday, June 28th. The Children's Museum Has Found a New Home
The Children's Museum has located a new site in the Broadmoor Mall. In fact, directly across the parking lot from our current location. Now that we have jumped that hurdle, we are onto the next. We are in need of volunteers to help us make the move on June 27-28. On Saturday, June 27th, we will tear down and pack up the exhibits starting at 5:30 pm. On Sunday the 28th we will begin the actual move at 1:00 pm. We will be closed through the month of July and have set a tentative opening date of August 6th. During the month of July we are looking for volunteers to help us put the exhibits together and to give some of them new coats of paint.
